From Tealux

We start with our own chopped authentic Italian biscotti and blend these with hand-roasted pistachios, honey flakes, and a rich blend of Indian and Ceylon teas to create an enticing blend that is equally enjoyable with or without milk.

Did I get the right tea? I don’t see the pistachios at all. The biscotti looks like almonds (but I don’t know much about biscotti.. I think it’s like a crispy cookie?) And what should be honey flakes look like coconut to me. The taste is delicious anyway. Very sweet! And it is cookie-like. The black tea is pretty mild, but that lets the flavors shine. I was really hoping this would be a nice pistachio blend. It’s good but the name isn’t accurate!

Uh I’m sick of winter. How many months of winter are left? Some mornings my throat is so dry that even tea doesn’t help (and I don’t snore! :D) I don’t know WHAT I did before I was drinking tea. I see the good in everything though, so I think winter just helps me appreciate the warmer months more. And it would be boring if it was always the same season… though I wouldn’t mind if it was permanently autumn!

You are cordially invited to join the Steepster Chapter of the I Hate January Club :) Gray days…skin that feels like corrugated cardboard…I’ll take perpetual October, too!

I know… the list of terrible winter things could go on forever, but I won’t mention anything else! sigh.

MsWhatsit

Yeah, it’s a little annoying when the tea doesn’t seem to match the name, but it does sound good.

I may have to check out that I hate January club too…

Tea #11 from the ‘Here’s Hoping’ teabox.

I made this to drink on my way to church, and I have to say it’s not my favorite. Too much honey and not enough of anything else. I could pick out some bready notes in the tea as it cooled, but I never tasted the pistachio. I was also wishing I had added a little milk to my tea, (something I rarely do) but I had already left the house, and I didn’t want to go home. The sad thing is I think this could be an awesome tea if I had the time to baby it, but there was no way to make that happen today.

I got this in a swap from itachi

This smells like that artificial honey I’ve mentioned before. I can see the pistachio, yum.

Once steeped this tastes mostly like honey, but kind of like caramelized honey, if that makes any sense. This is a nice honey tea, quite good. I just wish it had all the layers as the name suggests. It could be so much more, bakey and like pistachios. I think this one will be good with milk too.

Oversteeped it a tad. Not so bad. The black tea is the main flavor in here, which I don’t mind. I noted a piece of chamomile in my scoop. :) Wish this tasted a bit more like how it was described, but overall a nice breakfast addition.
