From Tea Story

Pai Mu Tan for daily use, coarse leaf with white buds. Orange cup with mild flowery taste.

Bai Mu Dan (White Peony), spelled as Pai Mu Tan. A grade down from Bai Hao Yinzhen tea, incorporating the bud and two leaves which are covered with a fine, silvery-white down. From Fujian Province, China. White Peony undergoes natural, slow ambient drying. This makes the tea soothing and gentle. It is sometimes preferred by white tea drinkers for its fuller flavor and greater potency than the other major type of white tea.

The nose is warm, floral and rich like fruit blossoms. The liquor is golden and bright. Clean, succulent floral-fruit flavor and rounded mouthfeel. It’s a great introduction to white teas.

This white tea is very smooth and light in flavour, ever so slightly sweet, nice floral scent, very clean, just the kind I like. I enjoy drinking this tea any time of the day but specially in the evening when I don’t need the caffeine boost any more.

Usually lasts 2-3 infusions which helps spread the cost. Also great as a base for herbal complement if you wish for some extra flavour in your healthy boosting brew. I think this would make a very nice iced tea too.
It even reminds me of drinking honey out of a flower…well okay, I might be exaggerating a bit now.
