Its another night for me avoiding caffeine so I am drinking rooibos as it has none. The caramel rooibos from the Tea Shop of Woodstock is an excellent, somewhat savory somewhat sweet tea. There is also a slight, very slight bitter aftertaste to this tea but it is good. I don’t know that I would buy it again but I wouldn’t throw it out.I have bought rooibos teas that turned out to be that bad. They were from Sun’s Organic Tea Shop in NYC, Chinatown. But they were stale when I bought them. This tea tastes a bit like burnt sugar or burnt caramel actually now that I think about it. I came upon the Tea Shop of Woodstock because I came across a couple of giant Yixing Teapots that I bought before I got into small gongfu pots. The Tea Shop of Woodstock has sold me some decent tea, mostly rooibos.

I brewed this once in an 18oz teapot with 3 tsp leaf and boiling water for 5 min.
