The leaf itself is incredibly dark and brittle, with a soft sweet and earthy smell to it. I do regret not using a strainer with my fair cup as a lot of the leaves are incredibly flaky and finely broken up, but as far as taste goes this was pretty lovely. Smooth with a clean earthiness and mouth coating sweetness. Hard to put down into words, but I just really liked the balance of flavours. Of course, as a tisane, it does steep put quickly – but definitely a fresh and unique experience for those first few infusions!
