English Breakfast

I still don’t have a new tea strainer at the office after mine disappeared so I’m drinking the bagged tea we have here that’s free. This is wholly unremarkable and kind of light on the flavor in my opinion. I put a bit of soymilk in mine and it’s definitely better that way. It’s hard to argue with free but this isn’t something I would buy for myself.

Tony bought some of this awhile back, thinking I would like it.
I sometimes carry a few bags when we go to breakfast, in part so that I do have something to drink if needed, & also just to use it up so that I can get it out of his cupboard.

I’m on vacation in New York, hooray! Anyway, this was one of the teas offered at my hotel, so I grabbed it with breakfast. Maybe it was because it was in a paper cup, but it tasted really cardboard-y today. Ah well, I will take my caffeine where I can get it!

Somewhat bland, on a par with Tetley’s British Blend.

I love this. Probably my favourite English Breakfast.

Fairly bland, though not bad per se. Not in my top selections even for cheap bagged tea.

Does anyone else think this tea tastes like chicken broth? Anyone? Just me? Not that that’s a bad thing… it’s kind of rich. And I feel sick pretty consistently these days, so it’s kind of nice. I just don’t know.

I received this as part of a Tazo sampler pack my best friend got me for Christmas. It’s a nice breakfast tea to have with milk and sugar. Steeped up (read: the tea got dark) in my mug fairly quickly today at work and you can’t beat the convenience of a tea bag. I still think I like the Tazo Earl Grey better, though, but I’ve been on an Earl-Grey-For-Breakfast kick lately, so that’s kind of to be expected.

I don’t plan on buying this again once the box is empty. I’m no expert on English Breakfast, but this seems pretty bleh. However, I do appreciate it for what it is. Since I’m not drinking coffee, I use this for a kick of caffeine.

i’m kinda convinced that american’s don’t drink as much tea as the rest of the world ONLY because they don’t know how the hell to brew it.
everyone thinks that longer/bigger/more is better. i even see my roommate do this with coffee in his french press. he just let’s it steep and steep and steep. (also aren’t you supposed to not stir the grinds but let the water pour do the mixing? idk)
oversteeping is a painful reality.

this is a perfectly fine bag of tea and i should probably enjoy tea more when i go to starbucks because, you know, those coffee drinks are really too sweet. sugar-free or not.
