From T2

A unique mix of black tea and sweet kiwi fruit, Auckland Breakfast is a refreshing way to start the day. Keemun and Ceylon black teas combine to create the perfect balance of subtle richness and smooth tannins. The sweet hint of kiwi fruit dances across your taste buds and the soft astringency lingers long on the palate leaving you craving for more!

I quite like this one, surprisingly because I’m not normally such a fan of fruity teas. You can see chunks of dry kiwifruit together with the tea leaves. The kiwi adds quite a distinct aroma to the tea, but it is not too overpowering. The tea itself is not very strong through – despite the name, I don’t feel it’s such a ‘wake-up’ tea… I prefer to drink it on weekends.

I bought this as a replacement for my beloved Brisbane Breakfast. The taste isn’t as cohesive as that one is, and the kiwi is subtle enough to be barely noticeable. It’s fine if you like blends, but I’m missing my Brissie.

I’ve been contemplating purchasing this tea ever since a dear friend recommended it. However I was a little dubious about the kiwi being too prominent, so I’m glad to hear you say it’s more on the subtle side. Think I’ll be picking this up next time I’m in store :)

Are you in Sydney? I’ll give it to you.

I’m not unfortunately, currently in England for the time being. However I’ll be moving to Brisbane in September. Would that still be possible for you? If not no worries at all, it was a super generous offer regardless :)
