From Steepologie

Sencha is one of Japan’s most popular and beloved teas. The higher grades, like our Sencha, tend to have more delicate flavor profiles. A crisp and clean cup with notes of freshly steamed edamame. Refreshing, sweet, and much more delicate than most Senchas.

We’ve added yummy ingredients to create a unique flavor profile – the Bai Mu Dan White tea yields an infusion with incredible taste, a pale cup that is naturally sweet with inherent fruity notes. Bai Mu Dan is white tea made from plucks each with one leaf shoot and two immediate young leaves. It’s often preferred by white tea drinkers for its fuller flavor and greater potency.

I picked up a sachet of this tea when I visited Seattle, because they were sold out of the loose leaf. The dry leaves really do smell almost exactly like sour patch candy! Once brewed, the tangy/sour notes become more subtle and there’s a sweet aftertaste. Definitely a great tea to try, and one I wish I’d bought more of!
