A Berry Frui-tea July! I was gifted this tea today by my coworker, who picked it up on a weekend trip. It’s an herbal tea of lemon balm, lemon verbena, tulsi, and lime leaf, and apparently all the ingredients were grown or sourced locally (here in Idaho). The tea came bagged but I debagged it and am now storing it in foil-lined zip-sealed bags. It’s very full and leafy!
I steeped up a cup and the citrus flavor is very strong! The tea has a very notable lemon-lime flavor profile, with a slight bit of peppery mint that comes in at the back of the tongue toward the end of the sip from the tulsi. I’m really happy to have another tulsi tea in my collection, because I’ve been really into tulsi lately but honestly don’t have many blends that include it. He probably just saw a tea and grabbed it knowing I like tea, but it couldn’t have been more fortunate that it was a fresh tulsi herbal!
This is quite nice, and I’m thinking with such a rich lemon-lime flavor I may be able to pull this off as an iced tea, even. It is remarkably relaxing as a warm caffeine-free cup before bed, though. Very happy with this gift!
