So, I sorta forgot that this tea was sitting in my fridge. I think it’s been there about a week. I know in Barista Land™ we would’ve tossed it about 12 hours after it was made, but that’s hot brewed. In Rabs Land™ we go ahead and try it — danger be damned! It actually is really yummy and has mellowed the flavors quite a bit. Now, if I suddenly stop posting y’all will know that this tea did me in and not to repeat my folly. NE

FRUIT LOOPS!

:) It sounds scary… but it’s actually a good thing! You have to try it to understand. I’d frown on it in a hot tea I fear, but I find it to be quite awesome in an iced tea! I have this in my fridge quite often, I love it!

FRUIT LOOPS!

Ricky

Seems Adagio’s tea production machines got mixed up with Rishi’s =P

Citron Green should just be renamed to fruity pebbles, fruit loops.

Oh Cha!

Hehehe… I wonder if sales would increase or decrease?!

And it has to be some blending ingredient… either an unusual botanical, or an essential oil I’m not familiar with. It kills me not knowing!

OMG that sounds AWESOME. I love me some fruit loops!

Zingerman’s deli had this iced and I drank it with my brunch (applewood smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs and toast). It was unsweetened and had a lovely lemony lightness to it which balanced nicely with the mild green tea base. Wonderful and refreshing. Perfect without sweetener.

This tea is amazing! The citrus taste is a little on the strong side but not overpowering. I was afraid to use boiling water because of the green tea but the herbs and rooibos need the boiling and I can safely say that I did not taste any bitterness from the green tea. The green tea and green rooibos provide a nice taste base for the tea and complement the lemongrass and lemon myrtle very well. It’s very refreshing on a hot day. Highly recommend.

I don’t know about this one yet. It’s sort of a honey/lemoney aftertaste. I like it.

It looks as though the recipe for Rishi Citron Green may have changed. There is definitely no rooibos in this box! I prepared a quart-sized bag using the cold brew method, left to infuse in the refrigerator overnight.

To be honest, I was pessimistic because of the overwhelming scent of the dried tea, which was basically lemongrass, lemongrass, lemongrass. Fortunately, the iced tea tastes quite a bit more balanced. There are some other gentle citrus flavors mingling with a real jasmine green tea base. Not bad at all, though the lemongrass does dominate.
