I like this tea in the mornings or before bed with honey. Flavor, even unsweetened is sweet by itself and easy on the palate. Simple cup of calming, pick-me-up cup kind of tea.

Pukka Days of Christmas#7

I thought to give this one a go after a nice meal, and that was a brillant idea : it smells like the sugar coated fennel seeds they offer you after a meal in Indian restaurants! And it tastes quite that way as well, so I can only guess the function of helping with the digestion is clearly what Pukka intends with this infusion. As far as I can tell, it works.

Obviously, it smells like fennel, with sweet, almost licorice-ish notes.
And, what shouldn’t be surprising, it also tastes like fennel. It is slightly sweet, slightly thick, with very faint bitter aftertaste and slight spiciness.
Not bad, although a bit one dimensional in my opinion. Three kinds of fennel are too mixed up with each other here to fully appreciate their uniqueness.

Big fan of this tea for after dinner. Helps with digestion and I can’t get enough of the light black licorice taste.
