There’s green tea in here? It seemed like a purely herbal brew to me, and thus why I grabbed it today. I’ll have to go double check the ingredient list. Regardless, it’s a smooth brew likely from the licorice, and although I really oversteeped this (20 min!) it’s pleasant enough. I get the smoothness from the licorice with little of the taste, a touch of cinnamon, and a touch of coolness from the mint. Unsure if I’d buy it again though – $8 for a box of bagged tea seems a bit much.

2 bags in 12oz.

I was thinking this was an herbal tea, rather than camellia sinensis. Whoops. I hope I can sleep tonight!

Pretty tasty, I like it. I don’t know that I would buy a whole box, since I don’t generally like bag teas, but if someone offered it, I would definitely drink it.

I was expecting something a bit more dry with more kick. Cardamom, ginger, clove cinnamon are all warm ingredients and that’s what’s shown in the front but if you read the ingredient list you’d find green tea and spearmint which are cooling. The taste is reasonably clean and pleasant, but I was expecting something more warming from the packaging and the featured ingredients.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #64 overall / Tea #31 for February

Sunday 2/21 Had 4 teabags from old Sipsby box. Drank two cups with 2 teabags in each. A warm herbal brew to have during my 7 am to 3 pm shift. I left teabags in both times for hours so it became a kind of muddy mix nothing distinctive.

Pukka Days of Christmas#11

I really don´t have a clue why this blend is called “Revitalise”, but I do know it´s a perfect Xmas tea, although some ingredients (green tea9 might give another idea. A burst of warming cinnamon, cardamom and ginger, it says on the pouch…well yes, a quite standard Xmas tea but very well balanced. The typical spices are present, but they don´t give you a huge punch in the face here, it´s more discrete, more elegant in a way, which means I could even drink more than 1 cup of this tea ;-) Ginger comes through in finish, so that´s OK by me as well.

Pleasantly spiced without being too strong. Like a milder (in a good way) version of chai. I wouldn’t add milk to it, and only maybe the tiniest bit of sugar or it would overwhelm the flavors

Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML
WAVERLYROOT

I just discovered this yesterday. You’re spot on about this being similar to chai, and might be improved with a dash of sweetener.

I do not like this. The licorice root is too sweet and is almost highlighted by the contrast to the underlying ginger flavor. This was a big miss for me from my SipsBy Box.

i wish this didn’t have spearmint or green tea in it. ‘Cause i’d be all about a ginger, cardamom blend. Sadly this one falls a little flat, though it’s an average cup. I certainly won’t seek it out though.
