I’m very excited to see some more Plum Deluxe blends in the box, as that’s a company I’d love to explore more of! This one sounded interesting to me because of the supposed “lilac essence” in the blend (ie. lilac flavouring). I’ve not tried very many lilac teas…
I’m sipping on it now and I like it quite a bit, though it really tastes more like violet to me than lilac. Sweet, very round and coating on the palate with that hard to describe sort of “purple plumpness” to the floral notes. I like that the black tea base is very brisk and full bodied too – it gives a bit of backbone to the florals that almost makes them pop even more between each sip.
