From PekoeTea

Dikom is one of the best Assam estates. GTGFOP1 (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1) is the highest quality full leaf tea produced from this estate during the second flush harvest. This tea is from the 2009 Second Flush.

Assam is the world’s largest black tea producing region, located in Northern India. Assam teas are best known for their pungent, malty qualities.

For an Assam, this tea is incredibly light and fragrant. It has a warm, malty, almost caramelly flavour to it and very little tannin, making it ideal to drink without milk.

This is one I shall have to try! Must drop into Pekoe next time I’m in Edinburgh; there are no decent loose tea shops in Glasgow, disappointingly.
