Dong Ding Jade Oolong is one of the best-known and finest Taiwanese teas. Imported to Taiwan during the 19th century, it is grown in the mountains of Nantou county at an average altitude of 800 metres, where the temperature rarely rises above 20°C. Its leaves are a lovely deep green colour (hence the name “Jade”), and are carefully plucked and rolled by hand. They produce a very thick, smooth liquor with floral qualities as well as delicious sweet vanilla, butter and caramel notes. A typical Dong Ding and very approachable, it will delight oolong fans.
