The label on the tea says ‘Spa Oolong’ but here it’s called ‘Oolong Spa’ so I’m not sure which is the right one. Not that it really matters in the face of good tea. ;)
Lavender and oolong sound like an odd combination but somehow they manage to work here. It’s the creamy vanilla flavours that help meld everything together, I think. The tea is floral without being too overpowering (no lavender soap tea here!) and the mild woodsy flavour of the dark oolong base compliments the lavender quite well.

It helps make this a smoother, more subtle tea. the taste though, isn’t one that i love…it reminds me of the way that a number of spas smell….if that makes sense. this is a pretty decent blend if floral teas are up your alley. :) thanks LP!

The first three steeps are harmonious and fragrant. The mouthfeel is light but still present and grounding. Lavender, vanilla and oolong all play beautifully.
I did find that by the fourth steep, the vanilla overwhelmed its spot reminding me of creeping phlox (unwelcome in my garden) and maybe some honey would have cut it back down to size. I’ll probable just keep it to three steeps and stay delighted.
Yup, nailed this blend. From first sip to last, all I could think about was how I could absolutely drink this in a spa. The scents and flavors are so classic and specific to that experience. Really good for relaxing by a fire at night.
Flavors: Floral, Vanilla
The first tea that I’m giving a 100 to. There is a specific reason for that. Yesterday, I had a really crappy day: car broke down, and I have to move back to school much later that I wanted to. So, I was stressed, this had lavender, and then, I recovered. Lavender and vanilla is what I needed. I actually steeped this cup five times and both the lavender and the vanilla were there with me although the liquor became light. I was able to sleep because this relaxed me despite it being a darker oolong. It had good chi (a distinclty purple one that I could easily imagine; lavender=sixth chakra), and helped with the headaches that came with my stress. Some of you might roll your eyes at this, but it really helped me in a time of need. For those of you deciding whether or not to get this, look at my prior review (the Show More tab under the reviews).
