Its pretty good. I got this pretty much free along with some other Honest Teas from a site that offered 10 off my first order. I ended up with four of these teas and some other really cool items for 5 bucks shipping.
Anyway all that aside … its good. I like having some iced teas ready to go in the fridge that I didn’t have to steep already bottled and ready to go.
What I REALLY love about this tea is that OPUS is on the label!
I had no idea until it arrived today.
If you have no idea who this is you will have to read up on it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_County
Just so you know my personal love for this character – well he along with his cohort Bill the cat, is nicely and forever tattooed on my tuckis!
Oh the good ol days of careless abandon!
So not only is this tea good but every time I have it – it will bring back fond memories for me – and I don’t have to try to strain to see my own behind! :)

gmathis

I love Opus! (Did you ever see their Christmas special, “A Wish for Wings that Work?”)

Indigobloom

memory tea!!! love those :P

Azzrian

gmathis I am pretty sure I recall this – oh how I would LOVE to see it now! Some things however are a blur…

Indigobloom – yes always love the memory evoking teas! :)

ashmanra

Gmathis: I OWN “A Wish for Wings That Work.” When I went to order it, the clerk told me there was no such thing as a Bloom County Christmas special because she was their biggest fan and had never heard of it. She was pretty surprised when my copy came in, I guess! Hysterical! We also love Calvin and Hobbes and have every book.

Azzrian: pardon me if this is too personal, but I can’t think of anything more fun to have tattooed on one’s tuckus than Opus and Bill, whom my children referred to as Opus and Phil when they were too little to speak properly! You must grin every time you catch sight in the mirror!

ashmanra

Sorry, it was Focus and Phil they called them!

Dylan Oxford

What’s funny, is that every time someone writes about the pu’erh ‘touchas’, I pronounce it like I would the slang term mentioned above… and it makes me giggle.

Azzrian

Too personal naaaa Im not shy! LOL
Yeah I forget it is there ya know then I turn around and ACK!!! MY ARSE!!! Hahaha
LOL Dylan!!

Azzrian

Ashmanra that is so so cool about the movie! I bet that girl ordered her own ASAP!
That is so cute about your kids saying the names that way. :)

ashmanra

I thought it was pronounced two oh chas. I went in a tea shop and everyone who works there says it with this nasal twang like they are really speaking Chinese which is hysterical when inserted in a regular English sentence. It sounds like they are attacking the word with Kung fu. “Yes, ma’am, we do have mini T – OW – ooOOoo cha.”.

Indigobloom

okay I just have to chime in here. In Polish, Oczas (pronounced Ochas by the youngsters, and I know I’m not spelling that right) means “eyes”. So when I see Tuochas, I think.. “two eyes”

gmathis

Ashmanra, our copy of A W for W…is intact still, too. Must-watch Christmas TV.

Azzrian

LOL I pronounced it Too Ka
I have never been good at correct pronunciation of words.

Kittenna

ashmanra – in my head I pronounce tuochas the same way you do. Found out recently that I’ve been pronouncing rooibos quite incorrectly… so who knows.

Azzrian – interesting to know the things people get tattooed! I know a guy with a barcode on his butt :P

Missy

@ Krystaleyn That’s why we call rooibos kangeroo. When I look at the spelling I try to say it rue bose. I’ve been told its roy bus. blah blah fine then it’s kangeroo now even if that animal is on the wrong continent…

Had some of this at Whole Foods where we stopped to get lunch today. I have a soft spot for anything having to do with Berke Breathed because he used to do the comic for my college newspaper before he did Bloom County, and the label gets a lot of mileage out of his being among the company’s first customers. There’s a picture of Opus the penguin on the front.

It’s decent for a bottled tea. I don’t taste a lot of oolong flavor, but I do taste the peach. It has some sugar in it making a bottle 60 calories, which I could do without. One of the reasons I drink tea is because it has no calories.

Just over the US/Canadian Border into New York, we stopped to use the washroom at a Tops. On our way out of the store, we spotted these and had to try them. I got this one (tea and a penguin? I’m sold). It was tasty. I would have preferred some Long Life Oolong, and the oolong bit was a bit stronger than I like it. Still, I enjoyed the list of natural ingredients, the explanation of what oolong is, and the use of Fair Trade teas. If I still lived in Lockport, NY, this is a tea I can see myself enjoy often as something quick to go.

I used to pick up Honest Teas all the time for convenience. They make a point not to be overly sweet and artificial, which is an absolute must in my book. Still can’t believe high fructose corn syrup is in some “teas”…

This brings back memories. Peach is one of my favorite black tea fruit flavors. And I had a coupon so I picked this up. It’s a lot less sweet than most other sweetened, bottled teas on the market. But, still, it’s almost unbearably sweet to my palate. I remember about 5 years ago I bought this and couldn’t even tell it was sweet. Our palates really do change based on how much refined sugar we ingest. Still a much better choice than other bottled tea brands. It was my “transition” tea.

I love peach tea! I agree with sugar intake. I used to take pitcher full of sweet tea, now I drink most my teas naked. I can’t even stomach all the sweeten bottled junk. I was a fan of Snapple’s Peach Tea, but it tastes like pop to me now.

This is yummy! I love this brand of iced tea. They are slightly sweet but not too sweet. I prefer unsweetened iced tea but when thats not available this is pretty great. It is peachy and flavorful and awesome! Very refreshing too!!!

On the walk home I stopped in a small grocery to look around and felt weird about walking out empty handed after being in there so long. Grabbed a cold bottle of this one the way out. This is my first time trying Honest Tea, and I always thought I’d like it because it’s everything I want. It’s in a glass bottle, only lightly sweetened, not flavored overwhelmingly with cheap flavor, and uses citric acid as a preservative. Plus oolong! Oolongs are great iced!

Unfortunately this was not very good. Tasted like watery black tea that’s been sitting out for too long. Has a weird flavor I always associated with American plastic bottled teas. Sweetness and peach flavor was spot on though. I’m not sure if I will try another, but I’m almost wishing I picked up a kombucha instead of this and I know I don’t like that.

I really like this tea, and it’s my boyfriend’s favorite. It’s sweet enough to balance out the sharp black tea taste, and authentic peach flavor comes through well. Nice if I want a bit of caffeine in a refreshing drink.

I really wanted to like this, because: I like Honest Tea, I like peach, and I looooooove Oolong.

I don’t know why, though, this just didn’t impress me. It was very “meh”. Honest Tea’s “Organic White Peach” blend is much better if you’re looking for a slightly sweet peach iced tea. This one isn’t a BAD tea, specifically; I just don’t think it’s as balanced. Just enough tea taste to make it taste funny with the peach, but not enough to just be plain tea. Eh.

I had an amazing session of SC2 last night. Won 10 games in a row, in Gold league too! Most of them were pretty close (with 1 of the games the other player even getting a higher overall score than me). One was a platinum player, so maybe Battle.net is thinking I could be right for a promotion……..? :-D
