From Herbal Infusions

A rich Ceylon black tea base accented by spicy organic cinnamon and the finest autumn harvested apples. This blend has been described by tea drinkers as almost apple cider like.

Cinnamon is an eastern spice that many cultures depended on as a trading commodity. During the winter season its warm scent has become a staple in apple cider, cinnamon short bread cookies, cinnamon spice lattes, and of course tea!

Sipdown!! (186)

Thank you MissB for the sample of this tea. Alas, it seems to be quite finicky so while some cups are really good, others are merely okay. It was fun while it lasted but I think I will be passing along the last couple of cups to my friend to test her luck with it.

Yea, wasn’t my favorite either. Glad you have someone to try it out on next. ;)

I enjoyed the cups, some more than others, but now it will be passed on for someone else to enjoy.

Every time I steep up one of their black teas, I like the base less and less.

Sniffing the leaves, I got hit with an overwhelming scent of booze. Ok, alcohol based flavourings, I can get behind that. Steeping it, it smells (well, as far as I can smell), delicious. Cinnamon and baked apples.

Tasting it, the base tea overwhelms. It’s bitter and astringent, and seriously. That is not cool. I’ll have to try to remember to steep the rest of their blacks at 185F.

I had this tea at a local tea house and loved it. It had just the right amount of cinnamon to taste delicious and not too overpowering. The apple flavor was also refreshing and delicate. It’s a great tea for autumn.
