Orange Passion Fruit Tea

Today was a hot suny day and my girlfriend and I wanted a really refreshing drink, luckily she has this tisane and since I prefere tisanes iced I prepared a big jar oth this stuff. It was quite easy: a big perfect teamaker full with boilling water and 3 spoons of is tisane, purr it into a jar fully of ice and that’s it. That can be easier, right?

Well, I can tell this is a really nice cold tisane, the flavor is a mixture but you can taste oranges, apples, maybe pear and a really refreshing hibiscus base that ties all together. Definetly a more sofisticated cool beverage than a can of soda. I recommend enjoying it with company or alone in a warm day.

Oh BTW, you should add sugar when brewing this since it’s easier to dissolve it while hot.

Counting this for May since generally I count it as a sipdown when I use the last of a tea to make a cold steep, not necessarily when I finish the actual container of cold steeped tea, if that makes sense. So I made this bottle yesterday, but am drinking it today.

Another really nice one for cold-steeping from Harney. This is on the heavier side when it comes to hibiscus, but to me that makes sense for something with tart flavors like orange and passion fruit. Plus I add some sugar to my cold brews generally, so it ends up being balanced. Nice and tangy with orange leading the way, and passion fruit adding a tropical note. It’s more citrusy than tropical overall, but doesn’t taste like Tang, like their Blood Orange version does IMO.

Another likely reorder, though I also just got several new fruit tisanes from Tealyra to try out, so we shall see!

Another one from getanzt! I oversteeped this, yet it’s not too sour, which I appreciate. I taste a lot of tart orange. It’s nice cold, but I don’t feel the need to have it again. I guess there’s a brightness I like to see in orange teas that I feel is missing here. I also wish I could taste some passionfruit!

This is a really nice sweet orange and passion fruit tea. Great hot or iced. I can see myself drinking a lot of this over the summer as it’s pretty refreshing. Bought this as a sample and will probably order a larger tin to have around.

This made a quite popular cold brew in our household. No. 2 disappeared the first pitcher before I had much of a chance.

I think he liked it a bit more than I did. It was a bit heavy on the tart, heavy on the earth, and not as heavy as I would have liked on the actual orange and passion fruit. It’s possible I needed to significantly over scoop and didn’t. Which I’ll keep in mind because I have a lot of these 80 rated fruit teas which, given that my lowest rated teas in my cupboard are now 80, are going to get a lot more attention.

I also discovered that I had a big bag of the Blood Orange fruit tea from Harney. Which I hadn’t added to my cupboard. So getting to decupboard this is a wash, unfortunately.

It’s really nice cold steeped. I think it’s a nice balance of citrus and passion fruit – there might also be a hint of berry hanging around.
This is pretty tart and I did add some sweetener, but I like iced teas a little bit sweet so that’s ok with me.
Thanks Fairy – I will continue to enjoy this one as long as this heat continues.
