Suprisingly well made tea. Tea received from White Antlers, thank you! Received in pyramid sachet.

I am not much fan of those two ingredients together. Ginger is usually fiery and Turmeric isn’t a flavour I like too much.

But…
this is a mellow and yellow cloudy tea. Ginger isn’t fiery at all, but present; it was kind of sweet, as well. Turmeric was present in taste but not anyhow overpowering as well. I noticed a little bit of lemongrass. It was just quite well made. Trader Joe’s version I had earlier wasn’t that good.

Whew! another paper turned in. On a side note, I bought some Lactaid eggnog because I was curious and hadn’t tried that brand before. It was actually really good and very vanilla forward. My plan was to use it for eggnog tea lattes but well…. let’s just say it didn’t last long enough for a tea latte to be made with it.

On to the tea! This sample sachet came with an H&H sale order. I ordered someone a Christmas gift and this was one of the free sachets that were included in my order. I remember trying this one before and really enjoying it. I don’t believe I ever wrote a tasting note on it though.
There’s a lot of turmeric dust and after trying it I realized I added too much water. It’s quite watered down in flavor but tasty. The ingredients list hibiscus but I can’t taste it here at all which is nice. The apple and the turmeric in this blend pair nicely together and make for a nice bedtime cup of tea. I’d consider ordering some of this one as it’s not often that a turmeric ginger blend is so gentle on the ginger. The fruity notes really add something as well without feeling out of place or making it a tart cup of tea.

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as hitting “send” on an assignment, is there?

Martin Bednář

Well, I feel it is nothing when compared to job assignments! I have to click “send” often too. But I feel you, turning in papers is always a nice feeling.

gmathis- Definitely!
Martin- I’m a perfectionist so papers always take much longer than they need to for me.

Fairly good tea! Felt good on this very rainy day, almost like a soup (I’ve been really into this Turmeric broth lately, so this feels like a bit more of that). It was all at once very savory due to the turmeric and ginger, but also sweet. It tasted like the most delicous way of caring for one’s health!

In the tin, as one might imagine, the main scent was that of turmeric and ginger.
It also paired wonderfuly with the last of my chili powder pistachios!
