I am tired but wound up. Such a horrible state to be in. I am always looking for something to drink in the evenings and I have to say this is one I will be turning to often. This is incredibly sweet with a nice amount of cinnamon that doesn’t knock your socks off. Great for a late night treat.

I hate that feeling! Hopefully the spice won’t keep your tongue awake all nite:)

So I rely on bagged tea at work, mostly because I don’t have my sh** together enough to carefully steep the good stuff at my desk. I also tend to forget about my drinks while engrossed in spreadsheets or busy putting out fires (literally, today – as someone left plastic trays sitting on a live stovetop burner). So I oversteeped the hell out of this first cup. So please keep that in mind if you read this note. Sorry.

Wow. This is soo sweet. What is it that does that? It’s not sugary-sucrose sweet, it’s not that thick of a sugary assault on my tongue. It swishes around in my mouth feeling thin and liquidy saying “i’m sweeeet!” – if that makes any sense at all. It’s like the Aveda tea type of sweet. Is that the anise?

What saves it is the cinnamon and spiciness. It’s definitely there, warming (almost tingling) the back of my mouth as I swallow. I can see where this would be a good tea coming in out of the cold in the fall/winter. I think I’ll try this again, keeping a better eye on it. I doubt this will be one I reach for often, but since I have a box, it’ll be nice when the occasion calls for it…

Tried some Sweet & Spicy Red Tea this morning. I’m usually not a fan of herbal teas, but this tea has a good flavor. The cinnamon flavor really helps warm you up on a cold morning and the aroma is absolutely amazing. The only issue I have with this tea is that it’s a little too sweet for my tastes (I rarely add sugar to my teas).

This sounds like it’s similar to the Celestial Seasonings Safari Spice Red Tea that Hagen have me. http://steepster.com/teas/celestial-seasonings/3400-safari-spice-red-tea

I actually like the sweetness of the Rooibos. I guess we have differing tastes =P Either way, you should save me a pack. =D

Don’t worry, we have a whole box of it! I actually like it quite a bit, it’s just sweeter than I would usually prefer. Maybe next time I’ll let it steep longer??

That might help, though rooibos doesn’t really ever get bitter, but it does take awhile for the flavor to fully come out.

Similar to stash licorice tea, but more spicy. Good with honey. Smells like red hots. Very soothing and nice on the stomach. Tried 12.2018

I don’t like this tea as much as I used to. My sister pointed out that it smelled like cinnamon altoids and now that’s all I can taste. I’m not crazy about cinnamon altoids, so by association am no longer a fan of this tea.

The aroma of this tea is very strongly cinnamon which, if you enjoy that smell is a good thing. Sadly I do not detect any of the other spices or ingredient listed (sad, since I think a nice hint of orange as promised would have been great)

The flavor is also primarily cinnamon and I can maybe just barely taste the rooibus. I love cinnamon but I am sad that you cannot taste anything else in the blend. The aftertaste is slightly bitter which I assume is from the Chicory.

Overall I was not very impressed by this tea but I did still enjoy it.

My soon-to-be-sister-in-law gave us a box of this at New Years, when I was coming down with a nasty cold. Her family drinks it when they’re sick, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’ve never been a big fan of rooibos, so I was a bit hesitant, but I finally caved and made myself a cup.

It’s amazingly fragrant and sweet enough that I don’t need to add any kind of sweetener. I was very surprised that I love the flavor; it’s heavy on the cinnamon, which is great. It makes my throat tingle a little as it goes down. If you like spicy teas, this is a great one.
