From ETTE TEA

Rasa Sayang Hei! Nasi Lemak tea blend is inspired by the staple fragrant dish cooked in coconut milk & pandan leaf commonly found in Singapore, Malaysia & neighbouring countries.

Nasi Lemak tea is a fragrant rice blend of houjicha, genmaicha, coconut flakes, dried pandan, dried chilli & flavouring.

Sipdown 112-2021
Still sipping through all of the Ette samples Dustin sent. Very glad to have been able to try so many! This is probably one of my favorites of the Ette blends I’ve tried thus far. There is a prominent toasty/roastiness. The pandan and coconut peaks through at the end of the sip, with a tiny bit of spice lingering in the throat.

Another Ette sample kindly sent by Dustin

This one sounded really interesting from the description but in terms of flavor I don’t taste any of the chili. Without the chili it tastes like a dessert tea not like a savory one. It’s SO Good! The genmaicha hojicha base give it a nice and toasty flavor. The coconut is really yummy and possibly the Pandan make it taste like custard. I get Coconut Custard from this one and would definitely buy some more of this one.

Did a light and short steep on this. When it is really hot the genmaicha is what comes through. As it cools I get the pandan flavor lingering in the finish and the tiniest bit of heat. There was a little piece of chili that made it into my steeping basket, but it doesn’t seem to have made it’s presence known in the cup. It has a nice light roasty flavor to it. Not sure which ingredient that is from. So far I’m feeling like it is an alright cup, but not something I’d repurchase.
