I found this tea light and pleasant, the honey is subtle and I get a bit of apple and pineapple as well, maybe some floral, or maybe that’s the prosecco flavour they’re going for. The smell of the loose leaf isn’t quite what I expected, and isn’t representative of the steeped product, which is good because steeped it smells much better! I normally like bold tart flavours for my tea, but I like this one, there’s something calming about it.

I mainly ordered this tea because of the honeydew melon in it. I have to say, the loose leaf smells a little strange. Almost like chamomile or something, but then there’s the fruit. I steeped this in my new ‘The Wall’ mug, which I put the leaves directly into the cup and the ‘wall’ on the inner part of the mug strains it as I drink. It’s pretty cool. Anyway, I have it steeping the entirety of drinking it, and I think that works with this tea, since it is herbal. I definitely taste the floralness, but also the fruitiness. The longer it’s been steeping, the more fruity it is, and I really like it. I think it would be a great iced tea as well – provided you could steep it a long time… Maybe coldsteep? Anyway. Glad I got this tea.

So, this tea was launched today as an online exclusive with the New Year’s Collection. I’m a little sad it didn’t make it to stores, because I think it’s a really unique concept and when I tried it today I was actually a pretty big fan of it.

Plus, from a customer stand point, I know it’s also just nice being able to try things in store first as a tea before blind buying online.

I don’t know that I personally found this one to be crazy unique but the flavour was solid and did remind me of prosecco in a lot of ways – a very sweet, fruity prosecco but still prosecco nonetheless. I can clearly and distinctly taste the apple, pineapple, and honeydew in this blend when I stop and think about what I’m drinking but if I close my eyes, zone out a little bit and just sip what I taste is the vegan Prosecco gummy bear candies that DT now carries year round in stores (in partnership with Squish). And those gummy candies are AMAZING.

So yeah, that’s where I’m at with this one. Definitely worth a revisit or two, for sure. Probably would be really nice iced as well!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

Those prosecco bears are amazing. Squish also has these vegan blue raspberry witch gummies that I’m in love with.

I’ve had those! They are REALLY good. My favourite thing from them is probably the hot skulls they had around Halloween. Not sure if they carry them year round, but AMAZING.
