2022 Sipdown 112/365!

Well, this experience is perhaps better than my last, as I was careful to only steep it for a short time to minimize the contribution of the fennel. It’s quite sweet, but also quite fruity – syrupy, even – with a nice tang at the end. I don’t particularly notice the fennel at all, but I’m fairly certain it would become overwhelming with a longer infusion.

This is my ultimate favorite tea! Whenever I have guests over this is the TA prove because everybody loves it! And I’m very upset that they’re not continuing to sell this mix. Taste like a refreshing summer drink with a hint of Christmas!

Not bad, but I really didn’t like the herb quality the fennel added to this. Glad I tried it, but I won’t be getting more.

This tea was recommended to me but oh man… it was pretty gross. I’m glad I got a free cup of it. It does not taste like pomegranates or cider, it was just a very artificial fruity taste that was awful. Not the worst I’ve had, but I wouldn’t get it again.

Very interesting twist on Cider. As someone who feels Apple is the flavor of Fall and not Pumpkin, I enjoyed the alternative to pumpkin everything. I find that this one is equally tasty iced as it is hot.

I feel really bad saying this because my boss gave me a package of this tea as a birthday gift, but: this tea is gross.

I don’t mind the fennel, but what really gets me are the rosehip/hibiscus and the stevia. Waaaaaay too much stevia in here. This just tastes cloying and metallic and artificial.

Now what to do with the remaining tea in the package? No idea.

Evol Ving Ness

Possibly add more hibiscus/rosehips to drown out the stevia? I have been having a bit of success by mixing somehow related teas with too much something with other teas that are missing something.

Jillian

I’d just cut the stevia completely, personally. If I want a sweet tea I’ll sweeten it myself in the amount I want.

Received a sample of this tea at the store. It was made as an iced tea. At first, the was a yummy sweet taste followed by fennel which, in my opinion, ruined this tea. I will pass on this one…

Cold Brew Sipdown (130)!

Wow, holy fucking nope. This is just NOT doable as a cold brew; I made it less than three sips in before just absolutely calling it quits. The pomegranate tastes cloying and artificial, the stevia is out of control, and the fennel is definitely NOT subtle. I thought this was ok hot, but if you’re taking the cold brew into consideration…

Well, then this is the worst thing from the fall collection.

I had to add this tea, so I hope I did it right!

I got this as a sample from DAVIDsTEA’s Fall line, and am trying it on a fairly frigid morning.
Before it was cool enough to drink, I smelled it and it reminded me of cough syrup. Not a good start.
However, when it had cooled enough, I powered through the smell and tried it. It actually tastes exactly like a Pomegranate Tootsie Pop, which was rather lovely. Every fall I always have a Tootsie Pop in my mouth, so perhaps this will curb my cravings for candy!
It’s definitely a sweeter tea; I don’t add sweetener and prefer more bitter flavors. But if you’ve got a craving for sweets, this just might hit the spot!

De

You did it right :) Little tea-lovers, they grow up so fast ;-;

I know, right? I was thinking the same thing, De XD
