Sipdown (340)

This is a fine mint green tea. Softer than expected and more green tea base than anticipated. It’s fine but nothing special.

I wanted something kind of refreshing.
Green tea sounds quite good, with mint even more.

I do not know how hot water was – my brother just filled my cup after he filled his coffee. So I guess something above 90°C. But actually I do not think it has some negative effect.

Tea liquor is golden and clear. Tea itself is very tasty, refreshing and smooth. I think I had tea bag in maybe even for little longer time than 3 minutes but I can´t tell because I was preparing ice cream.

But overall, it is nice tea and refreshing in this hot afternoon. I won´t rate, as I do not have steeping parameters. No additives (it is supposed to be great with lots of sugar).
3 sachets remaining.

A sample bag from DF of a tea I would not have ever ordered, but now might think about picking up in the summer. Mint isn’t usually a taste that I seek out aside from having a nice peppermint tea in the pantry, or a lovely After Eight type chocolate and creamy mint treat, but I found this appealing. I liked the layering of different mint flavors on the green tea (ingredients listed: green tea; spearmint; peppermint leaves; natural mint flavor), and the feelings it inspired were lucidity, clarity, reset. Why reset? I don’t know! I just had that feeling (and actually, that exact word) pop into my mind, like returning to an earlier, clearer, more receptive state.

But now that I’m writing this up, I’m seeing “Reset” all over on the edit window and wondering if I’m Incepting myself. Maybe my inspirations here are are really Memento and The Usual Suspects. Maybe I’m only writing reviews based on words flitting across my consciousness from the surrounding world. Like, what really is reality, anyway? Perhaps just another sip from this lovely Kobayashi mug (where did this come from?) while I ponder the question.

This gunpowder and mint blend is nice enough. I didn’t add anything to it, yet there seems to be a subtle sweetness accompanying the mint. Not candy cane-level sweetness but just a pinch. No bitterness but most likely because I only steeped it for like a minute and made sure the water cooled down for about five minutes before pouring.

It was advised to drink it sweetened and very warm, so I drank it this way. ^^

Quite tasty and refreshing, but I have the impression that the mint flavor has been enhanced by a syrup added to the natural mint leaves.
