As long as you’re careful not to brew too hot or for too long, this is very nice. Not going to set the house on fire, but good for the times you just want to throw a teabag in a cup and have a green tea quickly.

Also Clipper is a fantastic company – this one is fair trade and the new boxes are very attractive.

I made a huge mug of this to chase away my mild headache. When brewed correctly, it is nice and sweet with a pleasant taste without being complicated. It’s just a tea cupboard staple for when you want something simple, you know? That’s exactly what I needed now.

I received some of these as a free sample from Clipper. I was so enthused, but I just cannot bring myself to like this. I find it a fickle brew, with a tendency to go straight from watery to astringent without ever seeming to pause at the sweet spot. I may give it another go, but I don’t hold any great hope.

In this afternoon’s steep-off chez sherapop, Clipper Organic Green is going sniff-to sniff, sip -to-sip against Touch Organic Green, both in the filter bag.

Every time I taste Clipper Organic Green, I announce “Chun Mee” to whoever may or may not be listening. I used to talk to my cat, HRH Emperor Oliver—perhaps his ghost is listening? Anyway, I have that impression again today. It’s a perfectly fine and easy to brew (not at all temperamental, as today I used hot water). A solid organic green tea, but definitely not Japanese. Is it better than Touch Organic? That is the question in today’s steep-off chez sherapop…

Steeped it for a little longer today – just over 3 minutes.

It was nowhere near as bitter as I would have imagined it being, and I even got the scent of freshly cut grass that a lot of people seem to get from green tea. I think the reason for this was the water temperature, since I let it cool quite a bit.

Very pleasant for a bagged tea.
