Ok so I have recovered from my bike injuries and as I was getting back to normal my cousin almost died on Friday night which has left me shocked and upset. He was drunk and punched a window which cut a main artery in his arm and cut through the muscle down to the bone. Very nasty and messy and the ambulance crew said they are surprised he made it because of the amount of blood he lost. We are not sure if he will have full use of his arm again but time will tell.
Then today as I was again starting to pick up a little I had my e-mail account hacked. They sent all sorts of porn messages and links to numerous people with my face on them! Quite frankly that left me stunned too but thankfully I managed to change my password and kick them off so it shouldn’t happen again. Lucky I managed to keep it at all.
So that’s my last few days, I hope everyone has been well.

This was a free sample from a while ago and I had completely forgotten all about. Well I got a new Japanese (I think) teapot with flowers and built in ceramic filter which I have been using of late and it’s perfect. Anything large leaved or ball shaped works well with it.
In raw form these balls/pearls are very small measuring roughly 3mm – 4mm in diameter on average. Some have silver tips that shine beautifully amongst the dark green leaves and they smell strongly of Jasmine, rather fresh too. Not as fuzzy/furry as I was hoping for though.
Once steeped this tea is yellow in colour with a sweet and strong pure jasmine aroma. Very clean smelling and pure.
Flavour is floral, sweet, a little astringent and perfumey. Stronger than the smell and a little more astringent than expected. I brewed low and had maybe 13 balls in one large pot, enough for 5-6 cups….balance works with my other pearls. Perhaps this tea is the ‘cheaper’ version hence no fur on the pearls which would explain the taste. It’s not as sweet as I was expecting either but there is still a hint there.
I think I will stick with my Pearls from Teavivre and Dragon Tea house. These are just too rough. :(

I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a rough time lately! I hope your cousin will be ok. That is such a scary thing.
Your teapot is beautiful! Love the different colors of green for the leaves.
Holy crap that’s a lot to go on in a short time, glad everything is okay!
Must google "What’s a carboot? "
