From Čajový Dom

Organically grown sencha shaded two weeks before harvest using the traditional bush covering method from the Yame area of Fukuoka Prefecture. The Meiryoku cultivar is richer in amino acids and caffeine, while the catechin content is lower, making it ideal for shading. The result is a tea with a sweet, soft character. The smell of watered leaves is reminiscent of a coniferous forest. The taste is soft, delicious, very balanced with a long sweet aftertaste.

[Spring 2023 harvest]

This tea is good, but not close to the best Kabusecha I’ve had. Its taste and body is a bit lighter than I would prefer. It does, however, have a very nice long aftertaste that is nutty and mineral. The aroma is of grass (compost), matcha, and baked apples. Taste is sweet and floral, while the mouthfeel is oily and smooth.
