From Bitterleaf Teas

This consistent and lasting Baiying shan raw puer is defined by its great fragrance and sugary sweetness. These qualities persist well after taking a sip, running their own little marathon in the mouth and throat.

Made from big tree material growing at over 2000 meters, it also has a nice texture and smoothness that fills the mouth.

Other notable qualities include a gentle astringency that is typical of Lincang region teas, which works well with a gentle fruit flavour and tartness.

We highly recommend this tea for anyone looking for a standout Lincang tea. While it may not be typical for the region, it represents a good bridge to the other side of the Lancang river.

Picking Period: Pre-April 9th

Grandpa Style!

I’ve found myself increasingly interested in Lincang region sheng and it’s teas like this one that really exemplify why! The liquor is thick with a gentle astringency, though I find the taste to be quite gentle with an airy cotton candy type sweetness and a lot of fruitier elements. The finish is almost citrusy in a sweet yet bitter kind of way; like candied orange peels that still have some of their pith. Definitely really comforting on this first day back from holiday break – one of those teas you want to resteep over and over and over!
