Teas like this confuse me so much. This one uses beets, I assume mostly to turn the tea red, but they also make it taste 100% like beets. It overpowers everything and is just really frustrating. It’s so savory and not fun to drink. I wanted to give it another chance, so I steeped it for a shorter time and am drinking it cold and sweetened. It isn’t quite so savory/offensive, but it’s just sweet beets.

Innnteresting. Any chance you’ve tried Rishi’s Thai iced tea powder? It has beets in it and I love them in that application — the color works for Thai tea, of course, but they bring an earthiness that is just glorious (but also: I love beets).

I haven’t tried that one! Ha I like beets in food, but I don’t prefer savoriness in tea.

Not adding a rating here, because I’ve had this for a while and I remember it tasting better than it does now.
A very fruity tea, and I love the colour…expecially after adding a tiny bit of milk. With the milk it starts reminding me of a warm milkshake and strawberry bonbons. But it has a bit of a silage flavour now that I do not remember it having before. It might be because it’s one of the older teas in my collection.
