Golden amber in color with predominate sweet, rich notes reminiscent of honey and ripened strawberry. It is full bodied and smooth on the palate with a mango aroma and a clean distinctive finish.

This is the first tea that I tried from the many, many teas that my secret santa (Jaime!) sent to me. She individually wrapped each tea, and sent just enough of each tea for me to taste it and review it. She knows me well! This is absolutely perfect for me, because as much as I like tea, I think what I like best is being able to drink tea and then write about it. Having just this much… is PERFECT, because then I don’t have to find a place to stash the rest of it. (there is no such thing as too much tea, but there is such a thing as too little room to keep tea)
So, since these are all individually wrapped, I don’t know what I’m going to be selecting until I’ve selected it and opened it… kind of like the 12 teas of christmas thing, which was a lot of fun for me. Jaime has allowed me to extend that excitement for many many more days! Thank you Jaime!
OK… on to the tea. This is delightful. Delicious. YUMMY even!
Sweet strawberry. I can taste the honey-esque tone to it, and I like that. A beautiful tea!
I had this iced thinking this would be a nice summer tea to have, and it is pretty nice for a black tea (I’m not a black tea lover hehe, but I still try give an honest review on the taste and quality). I could definitley taste the strawberry and it didn’t taste artificial, which is a HUGE plus to me…the more natural it can be the more I appreciate it. I could also taste a slight sweet mango taste as well, but this was very faint. Before I read the ingredients I couldn’t even put my finger on what that “additional” taste/flavor was, but when I read the ingredients I said, “ah ha! that’s what that was!” Now as far as the black tea, I think it was slightly bitter, but perhaps that was the tartness of the strawberry that I was picking up on and not that actual tea itself? It was a bit hard for me to tell, but it was pleasent and refreshing for an iced summer drink.
You’ll remberse me for water damage on my laptop caused by drooling induced by this tasting note, right? =D
