From Arbor Teas

A balanced cup for all green tea drinkers, our organic and Fair Trade Certified green tea from the Idulgashinna Estate in Sri Lanka is not too vegetal and not too fruity. Manufactured in the Uva region in eastern Sri Lanka (east of the other well known regions such as Nuwara Eliya and Dimbulla), this tea is from one of the well-known Staasen group of plantations, about 3300 – 6500 feet in elevation. It withstands multiple infusions quite well and has a pleasant sweet note with a clean finish.

Thanks to Liberteas I was able to try this one…thanks girl! This was VERY tasty! I had two infusions. It was slightly fruity, sweet, ‘green-tasting’ with out being bitter or grassy, and a bit vegetal. Very pleasant green! I LIKE it!

This is really very good. Not a strong vegetative flavor. The sweetness has a honey-esque quality to it. Very mild and pleasant, not at all sharp or bitter. Just a very smooth, even-tempered green tea … very much like a Ceylon … only a green Ceylon!

I like it a lot!

So i was thinking I’d make a black tea and I pulled this out of my unopened samples box, not paying too much attention and kind of in a hurry. After a few minutes, when I was going to take the leaves out of the cup, I thought, “hey, thats a funny colored black tea!” It’s not exactly green though either, more like amber. I thought maybe I didnt use enough leaves or something. Oh well. Then I took a sip and it was definitely not black tea flavor. haha. Still, very good. Once I overcame the state of confusion, I decided that I like it quite a lot. It’s a very unique flavor of Green Tea.
