From Ann Arbor TeaHaus

The tiny garden Temi is nestled tightly in against the mighty southern stretch of the Himalaya, producing superb teas of a character that recall those of its neighbor, Darjeeling. Bright gold cup, sweet vegetal and muscatel highlights with dry finish.

Preparation: 3g tea leaves (1 heaping teaspoon) per 8oz cup of filtered, boiling water. Allow to brew 2 min.

Before Bethany’s post and this post there were 26,252 tasting notes – 9,640 teas – and 1,388 tea companies on steepster! This delights and amazes me! LOVE that it’s a community effort!

This says it’s a black tea but it resembles a green – at least in my opinion – it does…the way the leaves look from afar and the coloring of the liquid…it’s a light green-brown…almost like an oolong color…It seems a little vegetal, a little peppery, and a little nutty. It seems to have a slight masculine taste…like a wood or bark…almost tastes a little like oolong, actually. It has a mossy-like finish – but not overpowering.

This is a very different tea…not really what I expected but then again – what did I expect? Not too sure…it’s still a fairly good cup!
