Tea of the Week for March 25, 2019!
I love sticky buns – and the only thing I can think of that could make a sticky bun better is if it’s topped off with some bacon – because everything is better with bacon. (Well, just about everything – I’m sure there are some things that you don’t add bacon to, but nothing comes to mind at the moment.)
And the only thing that could make sticky buns better would be to try it in tea form because – tea. I mean, tea makes everything better!
To make this odd yet wonderful confection in tea form, I started with a base of organic black teas: Yunnan, Assam & Ceylon. I also added just a bit of Lapsang Souchong to the blend because bacon is best if it’s smoked, amirite? Then I added bacon essence plus some VEGAN bacon bits, some cinnamon, cloves & just a hint of nutmeg, as well as some maple extract to create a uniquely different yet tasty bacon dessert treat for your teacup.
Please Note: The bacon bits are indeed vegan and nut free, but I’m not certain that they are gluten free.
