Even more ginger-y than Super Ginger from DT. It’s strong and spicy but still has a little bit of licorice sweetness.

This chai tea is great! Fragrant, smoothy, and a little bit spicy! The pink peppercorns in this kick it up to a new level. Leaves a pleasant tingle on my lips. I received a small 0.8oz of this in my Tea Sparrow subscription box but I think I might need to go purchase some more :)

I can’t quite decide if I like this tea or not. The peppermint flavor is strong, but the oregano is stronger in scent. It has my taste buds confused. There is a touch of milky-ness coming from this tea which clashes with the mint flavor, and leaves me a little queazy after taking a lot of sips.

I can imagine myself craving this while nursing a congested cold. I tried it hot but would like to try this as iced tea as well. Will update again in the future!

I absolutely love this tea! I didn’t realize I was such a lover of floral teas until I purchased this. This tea is very heavy on the lavender and rose (see picture) and has a slight sweetness from the papaya and apples. I have drank this almost every single night since I’ve purchased it, about 2 weeks ago.

It is a luxurious tea that is the perfect ingredient to unwind with at the end of the day. I do steep this at boiling but only steep for 4-5 minutes. Any longer and the flavor and scents becomes a little too strong bordering on the side of soap.

It is lovely to try a new tea that is different from my usual caffeine free blends.

This is the only milk oolong i’ve ever tried but I sure do love it! The creaminess it gives without any added flavors is amazing. This is my go-to when I just want a clean flavor.

I love serving this to non-tea drinkers. They are so confused where the creaminess is coming from. All natural baby! I can’t wait to try other milk oolongs to compare :)

drank Coconut Cream Pie by DAVIDsTEA

On a whim I got a small bag of this from DavidTea while I was stopping by to pick up other teas. It sounded so good and smelled amazing! I love coconut, I love oolong, and I love pie. What could go wrong?! I tried it the next day and regretted my purchase. I am starting to realize I may not be a fan of chocolate in my tea.

The thick oily slickness on top, and a very murky color that is very off-putting. I taste the notes of coconut and cream but barely notice the “pie” part of the tea. I poured it for a friend and he liked it just fine.

Reading the other reviews I feel I may need to give this one another shot. I will play around with the steeping to see if I get different results.

I love trying different kinds of rooibois but I always end up going back to this one. It’s warm, comforting, with the just right amount of sweetness. This is the loose leaf that also got my SO hooked on tea. He makes it a point to request for this every time he sees me starting a pot.

I have a huge tin of this at home but its been sold out at David’s tea online for awhile. Fingers crossed that is hasn’t been discontinued!!

This tea is amazing! Dare I say it may be my favorite flavored tea? I’m so sad I only have a small sample of this. Such a nice sweetness that is mellowed out by the roasty goodness from the toasty rice.

Would drink this year round if I could

Late 20s gal working in the tech scene in SF. I’m a social introvert and a major homebody. I love hibernating over the weekend with a good book and curling up in my bed with a comforting cup of tea. I enjoy the simple things and it doesn’t take much to keep me happy.

My parents currently reside in japan so I am often spoiled with matchas and green teas hand delivered to me direct from Japan.

White, Oolongs, and genmaichas are a must in my cupboard. I like my teas hot and plain – usually no sugar or cream. I’m sensitive to caffeine so always looking for great tisanes and non-caffeinated blends. I’ve yet to come across a black tea to really win me over, but definitely been on the search. Starting to get more into flavored teas, and hoping to eventually explore into teas with more caffeine like pu’erhs and mates.

My teaware of choice is my trusty David’s Tea Perfect Mug and my Bodum french press.

Looking to get to know other tea lovers and learn more about tea. Pinkys up!
