Purchased a sample of this green tea in a recent DBD order, and boy oh boy, is this one FLORAL! As strong as the lavender is (both in scent & taste), it still manages to make room for its counterpart: the coconut. Although, I will say that my mouth is somewhat confused. The potency of the lavender is one hand soothing/relaxing, but also feels like I just took a bite out of a spa aromatherapy candle. As for its namesake, I think it’s done a pretty good job of capturing the flavour of a lavender coconut macaron, but much less sweet. It’s subtly sweet with a nice creaminess and unmistakable floral presence.

It feels like the kind of blend that will be enjoyable any way you prepare it. Despite not always being the biggest fan of lavender (especially when it’s heavy handed), I could still see myself reaching for this tea every now and then.

I love lattes during the colder months (so mostly matcha and black teas, lol!) so I never purchased this one during my last order! I could imagine it tasting strongly floral! :) But I do miss Deb’s old floral blends like Sakura Blossom Jelly! But I am super duper excited to see what else she comes up with next!!! :)

And are you going to review her other teas? :D Like banana french toast or cereal milk? I think my favourite one was salted caramel pancake! :)

Antonia

I agree with you 100% on the latte front! I also agree that it’s exciting anticipating Deb’s next move, I feel like she’s been getting better and better with her recent blends! I definitely intend to review the newer ones, stay tuned :)

Silent Kettle

I know! I feel like there were other blends from her old collections that I felt excited about (fireside s’mores, hojicha, apple caramel cinnamon bun etc.)

However, this launch really blew me away! :) I’ve tried everything and I loved it all, lol! :)

I hope she makes more hojicha blends or maybe another black tea that incorporates bananas? :)

Antonia

I definitely think you can expect more blends with hojicha and banana in the future, Deb is very good about “giving the people what they want”. Especially if the demand is there.
