Originally I thought this tea was bland, but I realize now that I just wasn’t using enough leaf. The description matches the tea exactly. Faintly smokey with a delicate fruity note that reminds me of dried apricots.

I don’t think my palate is refined enough to pick up on the subtle nuances of this tea. All I taste is a very light, sweet, very slightly vegetal green tea. It’s pleasant, but I think I enjoy stronger greens.

I’ve been looking for a cheap everyday green as I’m fairly poor right now :( and this is one of the cheapest gunpowders I’ve found while still being decent. Its aroma is smokey with hints of what reminds me very slightly of green rooibos or honey. It’s very buttery and delicious although slightly bitter, but that could probably be softened by a pinch of stevia if you want. I still have a few samples from Upton that I haven’t tried yet, but so far it looks like this will be one I buy in the future. :)

I figured I would try this plain as it’s my first rooibos chai, but pretty much all I tasted was the cloves. After finishing half the cup, I added a little bit of milk and sugar and it tastes wonderful. Spicy, creamy, delicious.

This tea has a heavenly aroma. It’s a little bit bitter, but I might have steeped it a little longer than necessary. I love how the jasmine scent lingers on my breath after drinking this. :)

Plus, you can easily get a second steep out of this. Great value! :)

I didn’t think I liked jasmine-scented teas, but this definitely changed my mind! The scent of the dry bag is heavenly, as is the aroma when steeped. The taste is a little bitter/astringent and while it’s only a slight jasmine taste, it lingers for quite a while. I’m glad I tried this. :)

This may technically be considered a sencha, but it doesn’t have the same pleasant grassy/seaweedy aroma and taste that the Japanese senchas I’ve tried have. It’s not necessarily a bad tea, but it’s nothing special. Even though this is cheap, I probably won’t be buying this again.

It kind of reminds me of Stash’s Premium green tea, only lighter.

This is a delicious tea. It has a pleasant grassy aroma and taste. I can’t really differentiate between this, Upton’s Gyokuro (TJ80), and Adagio’s Sencha Overture though. I’m fairly new to tea, so I’m sure that explains it. :)

Delicious. This is my first Gyokuro and it’s not disappointing. However, it tastes and smells almost identical to one of my favorites, Adagio’s Sencha Overture.. just a lot more expensive. I’m fairly new to loose tea, so it might just be that my palate isn’t as refined. :)

I’m fairly new to the world of tea, and even newer to the world of loose teas, but I’m loving every second of my tea journey :)
