Iced latte, extra foam!
Honestly wasn’t bad, but something about it was just a bit too jarring. Too many conflicting flavour notes, perhaps. After all there were rose, almond, cardamom, cinnamon, wood, honey, coconut, apple, and pineapple. That’s a lot.

I’ve been on such a Quince Charming kick lately; recommending it to basically anyone who asks for a fruity black tea, and drinking tons of it iced! It’s just so sweet and refreshing, without the need for ANYTHING added. Plus, quince just tastes so good – it’s refreshing, crisp, juicy and it reminds me a lot of pears. I like the floral undertones, and hints of ripe apple, and then almost a lychee sort of flavour too? So good.

Sipdown (232)!
- Dry leaf is SUPER aromatic and intense
- V. Sweet with honey and apple notes
- I’ve never had Honey Mead though so I can’t actually directly compare
- The “Genmaicha” aspect of the tea actually felt v. light
- Like a sweet apple flavour with roasty undertones
- Also quite floral
- Had that sort of “trademark” AQ2T flavour that’s kind of hard to describe?
Definitely not my favourite AQT2 Genmaicha creation, but not bad either.
Iced with some coconut agave.
It was definitely too sweet for my liking (not sure if that was from the tea itself or if I used too much agave) but I do think the berry notes in the tea and the flavour of the coconut worked well together! It gave what’s normally a berry flavoured blend more of a tropical and exotic sort of feel! Also, the blueberry in the blend definitely popped a little more.

Hot cup with milk.
As far as the tea goes, the flavour is pretty much the same as the iced cup tasted; maybe a touch more rooibos base? Totally works well with milk though! It just amps the creaminess up to eleven.

Sipdown (233)!
Sad to see this one sipped down… again.
Unfortunately, I do believe it’s finally sold out on 52Teas website. I guess I’ll just hold out for a reblend, someday. It’s still surprising to me how much I wound up liking this one overall when initially I bought it more for the novelty of the name than anything else.
This last hot cup was divine – not a ton of grapefruit flavour, but hints of it in exactly the right preportions that I’d want present to not feel like I was missing out on the flavour. More than anything else, it was soft, delicate honeyed ginger notes! Satisfying, indulgent and really, REALLY comforting!
Hot cuppa!
While I don’t ever see this one as being a tea I’m going to need to stock up on, I have to admit that it’s really convenient having the option to drink it at work when the craving strikes. This cuppa had a bit of a grassy bite to it, both from the oolong base and the lemongrass but overall it was delightfully buttery and creamy with the perfect lemon pastry vibes. The finish was sweet, with honey notes to it that lingered pleasantly on the tongue. It’s my first time in a while trying this one without added milk, and it definitely held up well.

Picked this one out to drink for work today,
However unbeknownst to our staff, the National Science Fair competition is occurring in Regina this week and today the non-science related event for out of province attendees/competitors was an evening of shopping at the mall. So, suffice to say we were pretty slammed what with roughly 100 science competition goers coming in for iced cups of teas. I mean, not all at once – but still.
By the time I made it to my tea, it was pretty stone cold. That said, it still tasted really delightful! For steeping, I opted to use our 95 degree tap instead of the 75 degree one and I only steeped for two minutes – a trick I learned from Butiki to get the most roastiness out of the flavour. So yes, this was very smooth and roasty with a bit of sweetness from the green tea, cocoa powder undertones, and even a very faint touch of floral from the infused matcha. Very good!

Hot mug of tea with some creamed honey added!
I think I overdid it on the honey a little bit because this tasted so very sweet! In fact, I’d say that the primary flavour of the cup was 100% honey. In fact, it reminded me super strongly of a honey drizzled honey cruller donut, with undertones of rose and figs. I mean, it was still tasty but also A LOT to take in.
