15 Tasting Notes
First sip on first cup: hint of strong sweet rapidly followed by heavy wheat earthy notes. The sweet note won’t appear again until you take a break from drinking it. I found this to be surprising. The grain/earth is persistent and strong. Almost overbearing but stops just short.
It is a typical oolong experience. Enjoying it as an evening tea
Preparation
I am still developing my tea vocabulary so forgive my ineptitude.
This tea is surprisingly smooth with a small hint of citrus in the background. The flavor does not flatten when it cools, but almost gets more dynamic. A really nice tea for after a heavy dinner.
Preparation
I find this to be a great tea right after dinner. Earl Grey is too heavy and too difficult to get right. Lady Grey is very forgiving with steep times. I do think it is a bit more than just a light version of Earl Grey. The citrus flavors are more pleasant when trying to relax.
