17 Tasting Notes
I don’t get why this tea gets so much hate. I personally like it. While it is room temperature, it can taste very bitter and the mint doesn’t make it any better, but otherwise I like the taste while it is freshly warm. I find it to have a very relaxing and calm aroma and very “natural” sort of taste although the honey-ish flavor at times can be overpowering.
Preparation
Great for setting the Christmas mood, however this really doesn’t suit my pallet. It has a hint of sweetness, and a whole load of plum which is accompanied by a nice amount of cinnamon. This cinnamon can easily become overpowering to the point of giving you a numbing sensation on your tongue if you steep it too long or as it has a strong flavor, steep it in a cup that is smaller (9oz and around there). If you are going to enjoy this tea, a large cup or a teapot is very recommended to preparing it. This tea isn’t actually all that bad, I just personally do not like plum teas very much as all.
Preparation
This is an earl grey which is like no other. The smell of the raw tea is strong and smells like perfume but do not let that trick you! The taste is very smooth and has hints of earthiness to it, while soothing your tongue with a sharp yet not overpowering flavor that is similar to the smell, however this time it’s a perfect strength that is very pleasurable. Good for any time of the day for me. I highly enjoy this tea!
Preparation
One of my all time favorite teas, mostly due to the nostalgia factor – I always used to chill out with my mum and drink sleepytime together when I was really young. I always enjoy this tea at night, the lemon/woodsy aroma and the smooth, oh so calming taste always calms me down and takes me back quite a bit.
Preparation
Not one of my most favorite earl greys, as it gets astringent quite quickly, so you need to steep it for a /very/ short time generally. The astringency is weird though, you can still taste the tea while the astringency tickles your tounge so I’m not going to say it’s unbearable by any means. I only ever really drink this with 2-3 pinches of sugar and a dash of creme, as it tones it all down a bit.
