Mild black tea with a very fragrant Rose flavor and taste. A very pleasant way to start my day.

Definitely one of my favorites, almond flavor is divine and a little vanilla adds the necessary sweetness to make it a tea desert.

Republic of Tea is served in Papa Jon’s in Kyoto and is great with their NY Cheesecake.

It is very mild and does not have much flavor, but I am probably making it too light as that is how I like my other green teas. I will keep experimenting.

I like the licorice spice usually but this tea contained that distinctive licorice sweetness with none of the spice so it was not a very enjoyable cup. Second brew was much milder with all the flavors integrating nicely and licorice sweetness blended with the rest of the ingredients.

I really could not drink it as I dislike tastes like sarsaparilla and chicory. My partner liked it quite a bit but even he complained of the strong smell. The bonus is that you can eat the seeds from the brew later for a nice fennel aftertaste.

Was quite a strong tea for a fruit tea, the smell and taste of strawberry was very well pronounced, but the peach component was none existant as I did not even know it was in the mix until I translated the word “momo” which means peach apparently.

Second brew was much more mild with no black tea bitterness and was very enjoyable.

Turns out the shop has put the wrong labels on my teas hence have to update this note. I had the real Pommier tea today and it was delicious. There is a subtle rooibus undertone and the apple part is very strong and fragrant. Good with milk or without. Makes a perfect night time tea since rooibus has no caffeine.

Bought a Celestial Seasonings fruit tea sampler box recently and now they are all but gone. My favorite of them all is Dark Cherry, would definitely buy a whole box of those if I ever come across it. The smell and the taste are indeed of dark cherry!
I loved most teas in the box as they are caffeine free and make the best end of day “desert” before bed.

Without much experience with black teas I can only say it was definitely a mild one, without too much tannin bitterness. My partner also commented he picks up some lavender notes in it.

Had this tea at MlesnA Tea House in Kyoto. It was so good it made me cry a little. I think it is about time I confess to myself that I am not necessarily a tea connoisseur because what I love most about my teas are the flavorings. I don’t care much for black teas and get bored quickly when drinking only green tea, but I have a flavored or fruit tea almost every day and when I find a really good one it is an out of this world taste experience for me.
And so it was with Snowy Apple Pie. First upon pouring it I am greeted with a sweet apple cinnamon aroma raising from my cup and filling my nostrils. Then comes the taste test, majority of flavored teas are nothing but bitter (pardon the pun) disappointments. But this one came through, not necessarily loud and clear, but ever so subtly and at the same time also unmistakably, it was indeed like eating a cinnamon and apple pie but in a liquid form. I guess one could add sugar and milk to complete this taste mirage, but I was content with it as it was, subtle beautiful flavor.
