It’s a good tea. Not the best darjeeling I dranked, but a good one. For me, it’s a good everyday tea to have.
Peach and muscate flavours, as you can expect for a darjeeling.

Disclaimer:
-I am not saying that I know enough about darjeelings to rate this in comparison to the universe of darjeeling teas.
-some of you may like it lighter than I (steep time and water temperature indicated above is for a strong result); in this case, I suggest to reduce temperature or 20-30 seconds of steeping (not more, if you still want to have flavours !).

Steep for about 3 minutes and you tea will just be ruined. I did it and I had to throw it all away beacause of the bitterness.

I am not against Camomile, but for me it was always a “tisane”, and nothing more – something that my grandfathers dranked before sleeping. Here with rooibos, camomile’s flavour gets bodied and that’s a very good thing, because it suddenly gets a full tea’s status in my mouth. I enjoyed it very much.
As alway for (not green) rooibos, you don’t have the full body of it if you let it steep for less than 5 minutes. In that case, it’s crucial.

Let’s say first that the original one, the green The du Hammam, is very good, but a more sensitive one. You will allways been tempted to push temperature or steeping time to extract more of that dates flavour, which are good. But it’s a green tea, so… well, sometimes you get the dates flavour PLUS biterness. It’s not easy to obtain the good balance between biterness (just a little bit) and dates flavour). But when you suceed, the tea is just excellent.
I agree with LatteTeaDah that the spicy and smoky flavours of the keemun is a good thing and it’s certainly a plus, comparing to the green version. But I was enjoying the dates flavour and I have to confess that now I know that I miss them here.
What to say? I mean, ok, rhubarb is never bad, but here I don’t think we can feel it fully, as we can do it in their La Montagne Bleue tea (LatteTeaDah, have you tried it?). So, for me replacing dates by rhubarb was a loss.

The result is quite pleasant anyway, as any keemun-based tea shall be.

A very pleasant Oolong. Like any Oolong, the leaf need to open freely (no filters here). Infused leaves have a very good smell – don’t miss that part. And yes, it’s 5 min. steeping, minimum, with almost boiling water.

200 °F / 93 °C 5 min, 15 sec
