Warm hug down my throat

Honestly I don’t have much to say about this tea. I actually thought it smelled really good, and I think it’s my favorite puerh so far. I wish I could elaborate on specific flavors and “notes” but my palate is not very sophisticated :P

Getting a headstart on some of these tasting notes because I have so many to write. This is my first time trying Verdant Tea. Yay! Question: is this tea roasted? The wet leaf smelled burnt. I didn’t care much for the roasted flavor, but it did have a nice floral taste to it as well. It had a bit of a bitter aftertaste as well, but I’m starting to think my pot was to small for that generous sized sample and I over-leafed. What a shame!

I’m going to have to be extra vigilant to get into this box. With my luck, you’ll have sign ups while I’m busy and I’ll miss it.
It’s not going to be COMPLETELY based on who comments first. I’m also going to take “swap cred” and Steepster activity levels into consideration so you should have a good chance.
Lazy tea time. Got a big ole glass mug, filled them with fresh mint leaves, squeezed in a little honey and poured on boiling water. The leaves look so pretty in my mug and they stay right on the bottom where they belong. So easy! Some people call this “grandpa style.”
Ohhh I was wondering what grandpa style meant. Does it just mean you leave the leaves in the cup the whole time you’re drinking?
I never tried it that way. I never even knew about it. I’ve tried using my mint and never felt I was doing it right since I never got much of anything out of it. How much mint do you put in the cup?
