2 Tasting Notes
I tried this once in a selection pack that someone left at work and while it was nice enough it didn’t grab me. A few months ago I went for afternoon tea at a hotel in the lakes and randomly chose this tea, and it was lovely and refreshing with the sandwiches and cakes. I don’t generally like fruit teas so this is as close as I get, and it’s really quite orangey, and very light. I have it with milk and sugar and leave the bag in until I get round to drinking it. Easier drinking than Earl Grey but with many of the same undertones.
The first few mouthfuls, this is like “Hmm it tastes like hot ice cream with a hint of tea. Not bad.” Unfortunately before I finished the cup it changed to “Hmm. This tastes like hot ice cream with a hint of tea. Pretty grim.” I finished that cup, gave it one more chance, and will likely never go back…
On reflection, maybe I shouldn’t have added milk and sugar, but that’s automatic for me.
