Bright with a lively peach and honey flavor. The honey sweetness lasts forever!

drank Moroccan Mint by Jing Tea

Very nice quality tea and mint, blends together really well. Not like other Moroccan mint teas, that need a lot of sweetening.

It is pleasant and refreshing upfront, and has a very pleasant, delicate astringency that kicks in on the aftertaste to give it a dry finish.

I imagine that this would be really nice iced.

Deeply mellow, with a buttery mouthfeel and a light nuttiness. The liquor has a silky smooth feel, almost like a very fine olive oil.

The floral tones are delicate and play second fiddle to the nuttiness. There is also a hint of smokiness in the aftertaste.

Overall, the flavor is rich and soothing, yet light and satisfying.

Have not tried it with fried mushrooms, but I’d bet that it’s sublime.

drank Chai Tea by Teapigs

This is a very nice Chai. You can see the quality of the ingredients inside the bag, and the tea is very tasty. As with all chais, this one has to be consumed with milk and sugar to do it justice.

It’s a nice occasional treat for me, but I don’t usually drink sugary tea.

This was the first Matcha I ever tried. I bought it from a health food shop for a small fortune (or so it seemed). In terms of health benefits, I definitely noticed a real boost in energy and a feeling of wellbeing when I drank it, which lasted throughout the day. I noticed that I was much less exhausted in the late evening.

However, the taste was quite bland. It had hardly any bitterness, which is a real plus, but not much character, either.

My confidence in this brand of matcha was not heightened when I saw the youtube vids made by the company that showed how you could blend the match with apple juice or put it on your breakfast cereal so that you don’t have to taste it…

I also found that it was much cheaper to import good quality Matcha from Japan than it was to buy this, although the high price could be the fault of the healthfood shop.

Bland and lacking in dimension, with a hint of staleness. The content of the teabag is powdery and brittle, unlike the whole and unblemished leaves I am used to in Teapigs products.
