41 Tasting Notes
This tea was good. I was looking for an alternative to Teavana Earl Greg Creme without the bergamot taste. This one came close but as I sipped it I felt it was lacking something. I guess the Earl Greg Creme was a perfect mix! The base in this tea tasted flat. Will finish my sample pack but might not reorder.
Did I just get a bad batch? I first tried this tea as a sample and brewed it for 3 mins. I took one sip and got a mouthful of citrus bergamot! Way too intense. I had to pour it out. I then came back to steepster and went to adagio website to check reviews and no one else had the same experience. So I tried another cup. Same experience. A mouthful of bergamot and lingering after taste. Ugh!
I had good luck by blending this tea. I blended it most successfully with vanilla black tea. I do agree with you – this tea has so much bergamot that it tastes like perfume to me.
Definitely fruity. Reminds me of teavana chocolate banana foster but fruity instead. for some reason I feel all teavana teas like this taste like sweet water after several sips. Maybe its just me?
Adagio’s flavored black teas always seem to go flat for me too. I think their straight teas / classic scented (jasmine, etc) are better.
