drank Tropical Nut Paradise by Teavana

I wanted to try a nut-heavy tea, but this turned out to be stronger on the fruit than the nuts. You can taste the smooth darkness of the hazelnut/coconut, but the pineapple and other tropical sweetness is much more powerful. If you like the sound of that, it’s worth a try but I won’t be buying again – the quest for an adequately warm and nutty tea continues! This is a good balance for what it is, though.

This (currently) my favorite tea. The coconut flavor is strong but the ginger and spices come through really well – I’m not sure I detect almond or apple, but the chai type pepper/cardamom/cinnamon mashup is delightful! My husband bought this for me for Christmas and I’ve re-upped twice already

drank Samurai Chai Maté by Teavana

This tea is definitely worth a try, but is not a favorite of mine. I received a free sample of this, and it smells enticing. The taste is similar to the smell: very fresh with fruit hints but without an overpowering ‘tropical’ palette. The chai flavors (cinnamon, anise, clove, etc.) are weak but do round out the tea. Steeps evenly with nice aromas.

drank Peach Cobbler by Red Rose

As part of an on-going search for a truly good peach tea, I experimented with this one. The peach is strong at first but is quickly replaced a chemical flavor with sweetness to cover it up. Unfortunately the chemical almost dusty sensation continues in a prolonged aftertaste. It is evident that a peach flavoring agent is used rather than any actual dried fruits. Worst of all, there is no ‘cobbler’ to be found. No brown sugar, something to imitate the buttery dough, no sign of it. The hibiscus is ineffective at best, you can barely detect it over the chemical flavor.

Flavors: Peach

1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML
