44 Tasting Notes
This is one of my favourite teas of all time! So much so I finished up the 50g, and bought a 100g tin! I’m a huge fan of roses and floral teas, as well as chocolate teas and this was NOT a disappointment at all! It tastes great, hot on it’s own, and I don’t need any additives to pick it up (like milk or sweetening). You can subtly taste the strawberries, too! But I felt like the chocolate and roses were the most dominant flavours of this tea.
For something a bit richer, I drink this hot with some sweetener and milk. It tastes so rich and like a dessert! I love it. Also, it’s great cold (and it then it tastes more like strawberries and roses, I find) with some milk and sweetening as well. Either way, it’s a great blend and it’s one of my favourites from DavidsTea. 100 rating for me, I hope they never stop making love tea #7!
it’s OK as far as this tea goes. I don’t really taste the oolong, and this tea is very fruity. I smelled peaches, but when it steeps you do taste a bit of the mango flavour, and just subtly the pineapple because of the slight tang you feel on your tongue. I’m not a big fan of fruity teas, this one was just okay. I would not purchase it for myself again, but my partner loves this stuff because it reminds him of candy.
I don’t quite understand the concept of the tea – I guess it’s pretty because it does glitter once steeped and ready to drink, but that’s it. It’s quite sweet without any addition of sugar, and I could very just subtly taste a cinnamon taste, if any. I felt like I was just drinking a sugary tea. Not my favourite tea, this one was recommended by the girls at the DavidsTea store I frequent, they usually know what I like but this is a miss. :(
You can definitely taste the pu’erh in this tea, but that’s not a bad thing! This tea is great, actually. I was immediately drawn to it by the name (I love chocolate oranges) and when I smelled it at the store it was divine! So I bought 50g and I’m very happy with it. It’s great cold, first of all, with just a splash of milk – it feels like you’re drinking a chocolate orange candy! No need to add any sweetener! When I drink this hot, I don’t put any milk (though I have tried once, t’was good) and it’s great on it’s own, tastes like dark chocolate with a little bitterness from the orange peels. If you love chocolate blends and also enjoy citrus, this tea is for you. I love it!
It’s minty, and sweet! Although I do like those two together, it wasn’t anything amazing to me. Just tasted like a sweetened mint tea. It reminded me subtly of “Read my Lips” sans chocolate. I’ll finish this tea of course, but it’s not something I’d go and buy again.
The scent of this tea is just DIVINE. It smells JUST like red velvet cake! (Even the cream cheese scent!) This is one of my favourites, and is best served as a dessert for me, especially with a touch of milk and sugar – it’s decadent and rich served that way. I have not yet tasted it cold, but hot is amazing.
I got this tea because the girls at DavidsTea recommended it to me because I like chocolate teas. As promised, there is a strong taste of chocolate when you drink this tea. It’s very minty, it reminds me of a chocolate chip mint ice cream, but in tea form. The mint is very refereshing, and pairs well with the chocolate. I found this tea to be great hot or cold, but I like it best cold actually, especially as a dessert with a bit of sugar and cream. A must for any mint or chocolate fan!
This is one of the teas that tastes exactly how it smells: like maple candy. With that said, it’s an okay tea. I personally felt no need to add more sweetener in it, and this tea is not very overpowering. This is good with some milk in it, too! Seeing as I’m not a huge 100% maple fan, this is not a tea I’d go buy.
