15 Tasting Notes
Just bought this on the weekend after a Summer/sping hiatus from tea(I dont drink hot beverages during the nice weather). I enjoy spicy and I enjoy chai but I am ify about chocolate in tea as most teas with chocolate dont appeal to me. however this tea not only smells great but it tastes good as well. The spicy aspect is my fave part of it. the chocolate flavor is mild when steeped which is good for me. This tea really warms you up on a cold evening or morning. Definitely worth a try or sample.
Preparation
Mmmm, This is such a great tea. Its my first straight white tea that I have purchased. I thought from what Id read that white tea was all very delicate and subtle, which made me worry that this tea would lack much flavor or be just too delicate for me. Was I ever wrong. It smells like Hay/spinach/forrest ie)very earthy. It steeps to a nice pale yellow color. It tastes so silky smooth and almost syrupy(i read this in another post about this tea). This is my before bed, late night, calm down tea. It is just sooo calming to sit and have a cup, or two, before bed. Another A+++ tea from TEAVIVRE
This is my new FAVOURITE tea. The smell is intoxicating. Strong but not overpowering and slightly fruity/malty. I brewed it as per the directions on the packaging. The liquor is quite dark(almost looks like nestea Iced tea)orangeish. The taste is incredible. So much going on compared to alot of blacks that Ive tried. I love the malty taste that I get, it reminds me of a pint of guinness for some reason. Needless to say I love it. My new morning tea. What a way to start the day…..and you cant beat the price or Teavivres service!!!!
Firstly, thanks Teajo teas for the huge sample!!!!
When I got this tea home I just wanted to open it up and try it. Upon opening the sample the smell is very powerful….but not too overwhelming. You can actually smell the tea and the mango quite clearly. I am in no way a huge fruity tea fan, but this smelled very appealing.
It steeped to a nice darkish liquor(followed directions on sample). And it tasted really good. Very mango/fruity as well as the assam came through very nicely. Even my wife who was sitting beside me had to have a taste because it smelled so great.
A tasty tea for sure and one of only a few fruity teas I like.
Preparation
This tea is sooooo good.
Dry the tea smells very, very, did I mention very citrusy(lemon/Lime), but delicious.
Once steeped it seems like the citrus flavor mellows perfecty and you can really taste the sweetness of the berries and a perfect amount of tart/sour.
This tea smells amazing, looks amazing dry, and the tea liquor looks great once steeped. This is a tea I will have to order(when money will allow)!! Great tea, Great people…..thanks steep city for the sample!!!!
Preparation
Ok, so there are a lot of things I really liked about this tea. There is apple, sencha, popcorn(smels like caramel corn), maple….Needless to say I love the ingredients, the way it smells dry, even the way it smells when steeped. The only thing I dont really love about this tea is………the taste, or lack there of.
I was so excited to try this tea. Flavored teas rarely excite me, but everything about this got me excited. I have tried steeping it for longer, shorter, different temps. Tried adding more tea than recommended, but alas I don’t find that this tea has much memorable flavor. Kind of a weak garbled mess of flavors. I wanted so bad to like it. Based on smell I would give it a rating in the mid 90’s. It actually saddens me that I don’t like it more. However I have noticed some other low ratings for similar reasons. However it does make me want to try more flavored teas. So I guess some good came out of this purchase.
Preparation
After having cold 911 by Davids tea I am always worried that mint in tea is going to be super strong and overpower the actual tea. That was not the case with this tea at all. Although the mint was fairly strong it was not overpowering. I enjoyed this as a change of pace from straight green tea. Im on the fence if I would purchase this one as I like Nina’s other blends more. However if you like a little mint flavour this is worth a try. Nice to sip on this cold afternoon.
On a side note I think I used a bit too high of water temperature to steep the tea…..very slightly bitter because of this. Time to invest in a thermometer I guess. :)
This is my first ever Darjeeling and it WILL NOT be my last. The more black tea I have drank the more I am starting to really enjoy it. I bought this as a sample on my last trip to davids tea. It was at the cash register and I figured for a dollar why not try it. I am sooo glad I did. Very earthy. Someone mentioned it smelling like the forest after it rains and thats a good description(not the wormy after rain smell, the fresh smell). I actually steeped it again after the first cup as I was soo impressed and my wife had a sip and really liked it as well. cannot wait to buy some of this on my next trip to David’s!!!!
EDIT: I have since been to Davids and bought a full tin of this tea!!! its my ‘go to’ morning tea and my wife really enjoys it as well. No milk or sweetner….just straight up and I love it!!
Preparation
I like to wear suntan lotion and not drink it.
This tea just was not good. So many great reviews and the guy at Davids tea said it was his fave so I tried it…..soooo disappointed. WAAY more caramely then I thought it would be and just lacked anything memorable…besides tasting like I got coppertone in my mouth. I am very glad I didnt buy much(a cup).
