Teas for Liver Health

I am looking for some teas to help with liver health. I’ve heard that turmeric, milk thistle, dandelion root are all good for liver health, but they’re a bit hard to find.

I currently have “House of Steep – Restorative”. I looked into Republic of Tea & Yogi’s turmeric teas, but I don’t like the addition of other things like “n/a flavors”.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Those herbs are easy to find, however if you plan to take them as medicine, see a naturopath or Chinese medicine doctor for a tincture or prescribed herb mix. Herbal medicine differs from regular medicine in that the entire system is treated, and when you take an herb as a medicine you must take another in conjunction to balance out. This balancing is what a trained practitioner has the knowledge to do.

I’ve found dandelion root tea bags at grocery stores before. One with a larger tea section might have it.

Tealux carries a lot of herbal mixtures. I just placed an order for one called 911Detox but they have loads of herbals mixtures. Right now if you’re in Canada, they are having a 20% off sale: CADAY20. If your in US then they might be having a sale for Independence Day as they always have a sale on the holidays. Check them out. www.tealux.com

Traditional Medicinals might have something too:

I just purchased Everyday Detox myself today. It’s from Traditional Medicinals and it’s a liver cleanse.

Spicely has a turmeric tea. It sounds awful, but it tastes quite nice.. hard to explain, I only had it as a sample. It was kinda sweet and a bit of spice. http://spicely.com/products/organic-tea-sweet-turmeric-kick
The colour of this tea is pretty fantastic too. Edit, you can order this one online or you might get lucky as Whole Foods carries Spicely.

Love the beautiful color of turmeric! It’s a good idea to enjoy the brilliant infusion in glass tea cups to avoid any potential staining. We love the double-wall Bodum glasses. See http://everythingfortea.com/tips-coupons/two-super-simple-design-secrets-keep-tea-warm-longer/.
