Carolyn, I love your video. So detailed; both in your process and on the teapot itself! The narration was fantastic, the teapot is beautiful, and I think it’s perfect that you named it Serenity. [Also, I have to admit that I kinda squee’d as soon as I heard the music.]

It is perfect music for that, isn’t it? This is part of my beloved’s argument for why my video is “tea porn”. He says that using Inara’s slightly erotic bathing scene music to bathe my teapot, just proves my inappropriately lustful focus on the teapot. (Sometimes it is a challenge to live with an academic.) I will have to replace the music, but since I know that you’re such a Firefly fangirl, I had to leave it there for just a while.

Thank you for your kind words about the video. I adore the teapot. I’d worried that 4.5 ounces would be too small but as it turned out Serenity is perfect for the kind of resteeping one must do with puerhs to thoroughly enjoy them.

I hesitate to say only that it will show my over indulgence…maybe seven or could it be eight? Not counting the beautiful pots fm Japan and some english, former east german. I did not realize I had a collection as this until I began to write this dwn. I feel so, so, so materialistic! But I love tea pots, the pottery, the artform, the knowledge that someone has put their life into such a creation. Oh well! Time for a tea.

I assume you did it by arranging dry tea with wet tea leaves?
